ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, MATCHING #, 1960 AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 MK I BT7, BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED, WELL DOCUMENTED AND BUILT TO SHOW AND GO!!!!!
This car was treated to a very nice cosmetic restoration a little over 20 years ago. Hard to believe as the Colorado Red paint looks outstanding. Body lines are excellent and we believe this car still retains its original body panels which are rock solid. No sign of accident damage or repair, a rare find on a 60 year old Briitsh Sports car and a testament to the care and climate it lived in. Bumpers, grille and chrome trim look excellent. Current owner replaced all 4 bumperetttes and retained the originals. Doors, hood, and trunk all line up very nicely. Emblems and badging look great. Rear reflectors were upgraded to LED taillights. This car is definitely nice enough to show at the local car shows but it is not a flalwess trailer queeen. Built to be driven and enjoyed and it has been. Some very minor chips have been touched up and I noticed a few tiny dings in the chrome trim on the hood. Overall, this Big Healey stands tall and will draw crowds and thumbs up everywhere you go!
The matching Red leather interior in this BT7 4 seater is another highlight of this Big Healey. The original interior was showing its age so the current owner completely restored it. He removed the seats and carpeting stripping the interior to the original floorpans which looked outstanding and he documented this in a photo book that is included. He then lined the floors with heat shield and insulatin before installing brand new red carpeting. Seats were completely redone from the seat rails to seat foams and professionally covered in red leather. He opted not to do the seat pipiing in a contrasting color. These four seaters were never intended to seat 4 adults but small children or family pets get to ride in this roadster if desired.  He also added correct 3 point shoulder belts from later year car for added safety.  Dash pad was redone in the matching leather and dash knobs and gauges look great. The original Smiths Speedometer was sent out to be calibrated by an authorized US Smiths gauge expert. Steering wheel was updated to the correct spec wheel and it is adjustable column feature. All of the aluminum door trim, door seals and hardware were replaced. The heater box and core were restored as well as new air vents. He even had the correct heater box plate engraved.Parking brake works with new cable and fuly adjusted.  Lots of attention to detail inside this car and lots of money spent so that the future owner can simply get in and enjoy the ride!
The undercarrage is impressively rock solid and frame shows no sign of any accident damage. Original Floorpans are super solid and not covered in any undercoating so you can see just how solid they are. If desired a long weekend of scrubbing and detailing could take the undercarriage up a notch however the beauty is in seeing exactly how original and solid it is . This car was not built to be trailered...it was built to be driven and enjoyed!! The trunk is also very nice and completely solid. Matching spare wire wheel and tire along with knock off hammer and  a nice updated tool set are included.  A reproduction owners manual, restoration guide, shop manuals and Austin Healey coffee table book will also be included as well as various cans of correct touch up paints.
