1967 Pontiac Firebird 4.1

This 1967 Pontiac Firebird 400 coupe was refurbished and it was acquired by the seller in 2013. The car is finished in red over black and is powered by a 400ci V8 mated to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes a black vinyl roof covering, 15″ Rallye II-style wheels, front disc brakes, a traction bar, a four-barrel carburetor, twin hood scoops, power steering, air conditioning, and electric windows. An oil change was carried out in 2022. This Firebird 400 is offered by the seller with a spare set of wheels, a removed center armrest, a reproduction window sticker, a production broadcast sheet copy, service and refurbishment records, and a clean title in the seller’s name.

The car was refinished in red in 2016 after rust damage was repaired in the windshield cowl area, beneath the rear window, and on the firewall, sail panels, and quarter panels. Exterior details include a black vinyl roof covering, quad headlights, twin hood scoops, front vent windows, dual exhaust outlets, and bright-finished elements that include a driver-side mirror, window surrounds, fender and rocker trim, and chrome bumpers. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the suspension features KYB Gas-a-Just shocks.The cabin is equipped with front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black upholstery as well as a color-coordinated dash pad, door panels, and carpets. Simulated wood trim accents the dash and appointments include air conditioning, electric windows, an analog clock, and a Delco push-button radio.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 2,700 miles.

The 400ci V8 was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rebuilt in 2021 and work included boring and honing cylinders, decking the block, resizing connecting rods, balancing the rotating assembly, performing a valve job with hardened valve seats, and resurfacing the cylinder heads. A replacement exhaust system has been fitted during current ownership and an oil change was carried out in 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Turbo Hydra-Matic three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. A traction bar has been fitted.
